The Increasing Importance of Outside Air
The Increasing Importance of Outside Air
Historically, we have shied away from a telephone diagnosis or rule of thumb pricing. Each situation we encounter has nuances that make it slightly different than the previous. We opt for a systems approach to treat the root cause of a given situation rather than treating symptoms.
Every organization will have a unique plan to handle re-opening buildings to near-normal occupancy. While the installation of air cleaning technology may be infeasible for a variety of reasons including equipment availability or budget cycles, the most prudent strategy may be to maximize the amount of outside air within the capacity of an air handling unit.
In addition to reviewing ventilation rates, we are happy to share our experiences with a variety of in-room or system-wide air cleaning technologies.
High-level Communication with Tenants
In order to maximize engagement with tenants, it is imperative to present a united front between leadership of an organization, health and safety leaders and facilities.
Over the last year, the importance and strength of facilities personnel has been more evident to the general population. We are proud of the grit and resilience that has been displayed by our technicians and customers as we’ve responded to new information provided by industry experts and guidance from the CDC.
In addition to signage regarding social distancing and masking, it is important to share the back-of-house improvements or changes that have been made to ensure a safe environment for tenants.
